Kristen is a board director for several corporate and non-profit entities where she serves as independent director and advisor. She is a private investor (VC) identifying, investing in & providing intellectual capital assistance to female-led businesses, growing & scaling them & serving as board member and advisor to these companies. She develops future bench strength by collaborating with non-profit organizations that empower young women, enhancing high school students’ economic & financial literacy skills & college-students’ understanding of money/investments. Her business & financial acumen, enhanced during 20+ years serving what is today the world’s largest asset manager (BlackRock), building, growing/scaling its investor relations function & managing/operating institutional & retail asset mgt businesses informs all her work.

Kristen is holds several Corporate Board positions: 1) BNY Mellon Investment, Founding Trustee/Director of ETF suite; 2) Board Member of Marstone Inc., a digital wealth platform in NY, and 3) Lead Director for Aperture Investors LLC, an investment firm delivering active management with performance-linked fees. Kristen also sits on the advisory boards for Girls Who Invest & the Council for Economic Education, NY. She is a Board member Friends of the Highline, NY (Chair, Investment Committee) & member of the Photography Committee for The Whitney Museum of American Art.

Currently, Kristen is the Managing Partner of Seaview Capital, LLC, a family office invested in early stage, female led/founded VC Funds and companies For Seaview, Kristen is also a member of NY Angels, an angel investing group that finds/funds & mentors great young companies from pitches through successful exits. She committed capital to ~10 early stage funds and 12 direct investments to date.

From 1996 to 2017, Kristen had a distinguished career with BlackRock. As Global Head of Equity Index Product Strategy, she led product strategy efforts for the Firm’s $2 trillion index (passive) investment division. Earlier, as Global Head of Investor Relations, Kristen built/directed BlackRock’s Corporate Investor Relations function. Before, Kristen served as Global Head of Financial Institutions Group (FIG), Global Client Group.
